Konnor's first trip to Disney

Over the weekend we headed down to Orlando, FL for a few days. We went because Courtney and I had signed up to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon. We usually run the Wine and Dine half but we missed it because Konnor was due right around the time of the race and he actually ended up being born on the day of the race. So we decided to do the Princess one to make up for it. We didn't really train as much for this one so it took us a little longer but we still finished and had a lot of fun. But we both agree that the Wine and Dine race is much better!
We also went to the Magic Kingdom for a day while we were there. It was Konnor's first time at Disney. He did awesome. He rode some rides like the Under the Sea Little Mermaid ride, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pans Flight. He did well on most of the rides. The longest line we had was for the mermaid ride and Konnor slept the whole time. We weren't at the park for too long because we got there kind of late and left before closing because Courtney and I had to get up at 3am to run our race. I think I got only 2 hours of sleep the night before the race but oh well!
Overall it was a great weekend. The only bad part was the car ride home where Konnor screamed for 2 hours because he hates his car seat. Long rides are not fun. We are not looking forward to the drive home to PA at the end of March.
We only have two more months in Charleston. It's getting crazy. Korey has some job offers and is still interviewing. They are getting the house we live in ready to sell so people are coming to paint and do hard work and a bunch of other stuff so it's busy busy around here. We will make sure to keep everyone updated on the job info Nd where we will be living next. Exciting stuff happening!!

Thirty, Flirty and Thriving

I can't believe I'm 30. It doesn't really feel any different :). The title of this post is from the movie 13 going on 30. Its a cute, fun movie worth seeing. I had a nice birthday. On my actual bday we got family pictures taken by one of our friends who is amazing! Then we went and watched the Superbowl with some friends. The day after my bday, Korey and I went to a movie and we tried to go to dinner but the restaurant was closed that night so we got some pizza instead and went and ate it together on a park bench. It was a nice night!
Konnor is now 3 months old. The time really does go fast! He is holding his head up a lot better and so we got a bumbo seat and a jumper for him. He is "talking" and smiling a lot more also. We love the smiles. He is all smiles when he wakes up in the morning. He must take after Korey and be a morning person because I am definitely not haha. Konnor is also sleeping much better. He sleeps at least 5 hours at a time and on those nights he usually goes back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. But there have also been a couple nights lately where he has slept 8 hours straight. Those nights were wonderful!.
We recently had to say goodbye to some of our friends who were moving to the Chicago area. They are great friends and we will miss being able to hang out with them. It's crazy to think that we will also be moving in just 2 1/2 months. We don't know where we will be going yet. It all depends on where Korey finds a job!
A lot is going to be happening over the next couple months. We are going to Disney World in a couple weeks so I can run the Disney Princess Half Marathon with Courtney. Dad/Grandpa Kelso is coming down the week before to hang out with Konnor. Korey has a couple interviews this month and next. Hopefully they lead to some good job offers! In March we are going to Virginia to Masanutten to hang out with the Witt family an at the end of March we are going home for Easter and Lisa's bridal shower. I'm sure there are even more things going on. We are looking forward to all of them!
Once again ill try and find more time to keep the blog updated so not as much time passes in between posts!
