Road Trip!

As soon as Korey gets his bike attached to the back of the car and takes a shower we will be on the road!  We are both really excited for our trip up north to Pennsylvania and New Hampshire!  I can't wait to have a picnic at the camper, have our baby shower, watch Korey do his triathlon, and see EVERYONE!  I am not however looking forward to the 10 hour car drive we have today.  I'm sure we will be stopping frequently and hopefully we won't get to our destination too late (or i guess too early since it will be morning).  I think Chloe is concerned we are leaving her behind.  She has been moping around ever since we started packing yesterday.  Or she could know we are taking her and she just is not thrilled about a long car ride :)
Yesterday we had a doctors appointment and so far everything is still going great.  We got to hear the heartbeat again which is always nice!
Well sorry this is so short, but I'm sure while we are home I will have plenty to write about and I'll have lots of pictures to add :)  Can't wait to see everybody!

28 weeks!

Sorry I haven't added anything in a week!  Not too much has been going on.  The belly is definitely getting bigger and sometimes more uncomfortable but it's all worth it! We are both getting excited for our trip home to Pennsylvania and then up to New Hampshire!  My next goal is to try and find a pediatrician before we head home so there is one less thing to worry about!  I also caved again today and bought two onesies and a hat.  They were on sale and I couldn't resist :)
We really haven't added anything else to the nursery.  We need to get the letters hung above the crib and we want to do a collage over the dresser/changing table so we need to get some frames and figure out what pictures we want to use.  Hopefully we can get that done soon!
Korey is going away this weekend on his "brocation" as he calls it.  His last little getaway with the guys before the baby is born (although I'm sure even after Konnor is here there will be more guy trips.. just not maybe right away!).  Hopefully later this week I"ll have more to write about.  As for now everything is pretty much the same.  Korey is still swimming, biking, and running to train for his triathlon and i'm still walking, jogging, and swimming as much as I can so I don't go crazy :)
Since I don't have too many new pictures I'll post some of the ones that we have been trying to take each week (but we didn't start til around 21 weeks).  I might have missed a week or two or don't have them on my computer yet, but I'll post the ones I do have!

I'm not sure what happened to 23 weeks.  Either we forgot or its on another camera :)  Also I need to take a 28 week picture soon and add it for this week!  But for now there they are!

3 more months...

Only three more months from today!  Crazy to think about!!!  We added a few things to the walls in the baby room the other day.  We still have to hang the letters that spell out Konnor over the crib, but at least they are all in frames and ready to go.  It will just take a little more measuring and planning to actually hang them centered over the crib.  Hopefully we will get them up there by the end of this week because right now they are just lying on the floor of the room!  Other than hanging some stuff the only other thing we really did as far as the baby stuff goes is take tags off some of the clothes we've bought and washed them so we could start putting them away.  So since this week wasn't too eventful I think I'll just leave it at that for now and add a few more pictures of the stuff we hung in the room!  Maybe next time I'll have more to write about :)

Under Construction

This week we started moving stuff out of the room we are going to use as the babies room and putting it in the guest room.  It makes the guest room a little more crowded but there is still plenty of room for people when they come visit!  We rented a wet vac from Lowes and poor Korey cleaned the carpet in the guest room and the baby room at about 1am when he got home from work one night.  Yesterday on Korey's day off we went to pick up the crib and the dresser.  We did not realize quite how big the boxes would be though and we soon discovered that they were not going to fit in the Xterra oops!  Fortunately, one of our friends with a truck was able to come help us out and save the day!
Once we got them home Korey realized that the dresser was already put together so there was one less thing for him to have to do!  He was excited to put the crib together so he and another friend of ours were able to put the crib together pretty quickly later that night.  So now we have a dresser and a crib in the room.  We also have a huge bookshelf that was already in there that matches the furniture pretty well so we will probably just leave it in there for now since there really isn't anywhere else to put it!
Now we just have to decide what we want to do with the rest of the room.  We don't really have any one theme idea for the room.  A lot of the bedding we like has giraffes and elephants and animals on it and we found a fun wall decal with animals we thought about getting and putting up.  I also like the reto posters from the movie "UP" and the idea of doing a travel theme with all the pictures we've taken from the trips we've been on recently (everywhere we've gone lately we've tried to take a "bump" picture or at least point to my stomach since most of the pictures were before a bump was visible haha).  Either way I'm sure we'll figure something out and our child won't even remember what his room ever looked like when he was little haha.  We also are debating if we should paint at least one wall or nothing at all since we will be moving again soon and will just have to paint it back anyway.
Well I guess that is all for now.  We'll keep you updated with the rooms progress as we get more things in there and start adding some kind of decorations/theme :)

For now here are a few pictures of Korey and our friend putting up the crib.  Bella and Chloe also tried to make sure they got in on the fun.

naps naps and more naps!

This week was pretty laid back and relaxing, which was kind of nice after a busy wedding weekend!
Korey is still training for his triathlon so he has been busy running, biking and swimming.  Fortunately I can at least go swim with him twice a week and it is the one exercise I can still do and feel like I'm not super slow!  I know the few of you who read this already know that Korey is running his triathlon for charity, but just in case you didn't know I figured I'd post the link about it here: http://www.imathlete.com/donate/KoreyWitt.  Korey didn't plan to run the race at first for charity but all the regular spots were full by the time he went to sign up and all that was left was to run for Team Blazeman.  Team Blazeman is a group that raises awareness for ALS (you can read more about it if you click on the above link).  Even though Korey didn't originally plan to run for a charity, now that he is he's trying to raise some money for them.  So if you want to donate  you can do so by following the link. Thanks!
Okay enough about triathlon training for now!  As far as baby Konnor goes, things have been good so far.  I did have to go for my glucose test earlier this week.  It was not as bad as I thought it would be.  Everything you read about it says the drink is so gross and the wait is sooo long.  I don't think I would drink the stuff on a regular basis but it was not that bad and half of my wait time was busy with seeing the doctor and hearing the heartbeat and then I read a book and so the time went pretty fast.  Other than that appointment the only other thing I really did this week was get a great prenatal massage and take a lot of naps!  It's crazy how tired I feel out of the blue!  Korey is on a crazy schedule right now.  He works from 1:30pm-12:00am and so I tend to stay up and wait for him to get home and now that Konnor is active and kicking a lot more its not always easy to fall asleep.  So with all that going on I usually don't get a full night of sleep and am tired by late afternoon and have ended up unintentionally taking at least a 2 hour nap almost every day! But even though I feel a little guilty sometimes, I figure I might as well enjoy it now while I can!
Okay that's probably enough rambling for now :)  Here are a few more pictures now that I've had some time to add more to my computer!

Had to make sure I threw one of Korey in there.  I didn't want him to feel left out!  He is definitely not gaining any sympathy weight though, instead while I pack on the pounds his triathlon training is making him be in even better shape.  I told him it was an  unfair time for him to decide to train for a triathlon haha!
